Wray Castle the perfect setting to comprehend the verdant beauty and scenic splendour of Lakeland

Travel on the 505 bus from Ambleside to alight at Hawkshead and walk the six miles back via Blelham Tarn, Wray Castle and Clappersgate. In the summer months a launch plies between Waterhead, Brockhole and Wray landing stages, giving an alternative means of completing the walk.
