Offa’s Dyke

Offa’s Dyke traversing Clun Forest

In 1971 I had attended the official opening of the Offa’s Dyke Path in Pinner’s Hole, Knighton by Lord John Hunt of Llanfairwaterdine, after walking with him over Panpunton Hill. In 1974 I embarked on preparing my first hand-scribed/drawn guide to the trail published by Thornhill Press, later I was invited to assist in the preparation of the official two-part guide, when it became a National Trial. Also for a several years my wife Helen and I were committee members of the Offa’s Dyke Association.
