Ambleside Walking Companion
Wray Castle a spendid feature in Walk 12, a linear walk from Hawkshead to Ambleside. Currently I am beavering away at completing the supporting linescapes that will appear a the guide which will contain 18 walks – ten of which start by boarding a bus in Kelsick Street in Ambleside.
Walking Place
Travel on the 505 bus from Ambleside to alight at Hawkshead and walk the six miles back via Blelham Tarn, Wray Castle and Clappersgate. In the summer months a launch plies between Waterhead, Brockhole and Wray landing stages, giving an alternative means of completing the walk.
